Privacy Policy

Welcome to Pinpasta by HEHE.studio! This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our Browser Extension (Chrome and Firefox) and Figma Plugin.

1. Collection of Personal Information

We collect personal information from you only when you purchase the Pro version of our tools. This includes your email address, which is necessary for connecting your purchase to a license key. We do not collect any additional personal information. All payment-related information is processed and managed by Lemon Squeezy.

2. Use of Personal Information

Your email address is used solely to link your purchase with a license key and to authenticate and manage your license. It also allows you to retrieve your license key in the future if needed.

3. Sharing of Personal Information

We share your email and payment session ID with:

  • Lemon Squeezy: To process payments.
  • MongoDB: To store your email and payment session details securely.

4. Data Storage and Security

We store your data in MongoDB, and our API is hosted on Vercel. We employ standard security measures to protect your information and prevent unauthorized access. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data from our database. To do so, please contact us directly.

6. What the Browser Extension Does With Your Data

Nothing you download is uploaded to a server. When you extract a board, your browser fetches the images directly from Pinterest's image host (i.pinimg.com) and keeps them in the browser's own storage for the Pinterest site, so a run can resume. The ZIP is packed inside your browser tab.

The extension makes these network requests, and no others:

  • Image requests to i.pinimg.com, from your browser, for the pins on the board you are viewing.
  • One request per board to Pinterest's own board endpoint (the same request the Pinterest page makes) to read the board's id, name, and pin count when the page has not already provided them. This happens in your own Pinterest session.
  • A license check to pinpasta.hehe.studio/api/license/verify, only when you submit a PRO key.

The extension stores a random install id locally. It is used to remember settings on your device and is never sent anywhere. The extension asks for the activeTab, scripting, storage, and clipboardWrite permissions, plus access to *.pinterest.com and *.pinimg.com. It contains no analytics and no telemetry.

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We do not use cookies or any tracking technologies in the Browser Extension or the Figma Plugin. Our website uses a cookieless analytics script to count visits and to attribute visits that arrive from links inside the extension (via UTM parameters in the link).

8. Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

9. Data Retention

We retain your email address indefinitely to manage your license unless you request its deletion.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update our privacy policy as necessary. Changes will be notified directly within the Figma Plugin and/or Browser Extension.
